For this WordPress website for Richard Pietruska, I selected a WordPress theme called “Gridline.” I then implemented the theme in it’s simplest state, without the background image or lightbox rollovers which came with the theme. The simple grid showed the artist’s work without distraction. All of the bright automobile colors stood out nicely on the black background. The main challenge for this site was getting the images in a pleasing visual order, while working with WordPress’s method of organizing posts by date. The images were posted and then all of the dates had to be changed to get them in the correct order, while keeping them organized by category as well.
